How DFW Drainage works
We're a referral service, not a contractor
DFW Drainage publishes plain-English guides to yard drainage in Dallas–Fort Worth and helps homeowners reach local drainage contractors. We don't do drainage work ourselves.
What happens when you ask for a quote
- You tell us about the problem, your city and ZIP code.
- We send your request to one independent drainage contractor who serves your area.
- They contact you the way you chose (call or text, or email only) to look at the yard and give you an estimate.
- You decide whether to hire anyone. You pay the contractor directly, never us.
How we're paid
The contractor pays us a referral fee when we send them your request. The service is free to you, and you're never obligated to hire them.
What we do, and don't, check
We only send requests to contractors who tell us they:
- have done drainage work in the area for at least two years,
- carry liability insurance,
- use a TCEQ-licensed irrigator or irrigation technician for any sprinkler repairs, and
- respect the contact method you chose.
We don't guarantee any contractor's work, pricing or schedule, and we're not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor. Before hiring anyone:
- Get a written estimate that lists footage, catch basins, the outlet and haul-off.
- Confirm they carry liability insurance.
- If sprinkler lines will be repaired, confirm a Texas licensed irrigator will do it.
About the guides
Cost figures and rules on this site come from published local sources, which each page lists at the bottom. They're planning estimates, not quotes. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us at hello@dfwdrainage.com and we'll fix it.
